personality
So, you're looking for a conniving, sneaky little teenage girl? Well, you've found her. Vespira is most definitely not the type of girl who's going to squeal and give out hugs. She's quite the opposite of anyone of that sort, in fact. Brushing the surface Vespira is very laid back and sports what can be identified as a cold front. She uses this in order to direct typically unwanted attention away from herself. This leads to another trait of herself, which is that she more often than not despises having all of everyone's attention focused directly on her. However, under certain conditions she doesn't really mind drawing some attention to herself. It mostly demonstrates her want to fly under the radar and go unsuspected and seemingly innocent. Her tolerance usually wanes at some point during the day, so those who run into her later during that time of day may, therefore want to proceed a bit warily. Vespira appears uninterested in most of the going ons around her for a majority of the time, giving her a bit of an aloof appearance. However, she can become quite interested in the things that are happening around her throughout the day at Hogwarts. Vespira's good at passing off a facade, as is her upraising, and disguising her true feelings to people who don't know her all that well.As you look a bit closer into Vespira's personality you will discover that she can be rather stuck up and bratty. She's at least somewhat used to getting her way in her family, and whatever she wants. However, this is more or less a front of sorts that isn't key in her personality, more of something she was raised to be, that was expected of her. Though Vespira is quite bossy at times for sure. Among her friends she will be the one that is giving them orders, telling them what to do, a bit like a leader of sorts. This also carries over into any groups she may have to work with in class. In addition, Vespira also has quite a bit of pride to her. If someone insults her family name, or something of that sort she is highly likely to come after them, once again with her own insults and retorts, as well as potential hexes. This does, however, depend on what is being said, as well as the tone of the conversation that she is having at the time.
Within her inner most self Vespira has a slight amount of insecurity to her. She isn't as sure of herself as any of her other female classmates. Though she may exude confidence to her friends, classmates, and family Vespira does not actually possess that trait as much as she typically shows, at least in her own belief. She does, however, possess a fair amount of uncertainty, mostly in her beliefs in the wizarding war. On the inside she is also much more unsure of her family's beliefs, which she has known since such a young age. She wavers in those beliefs frequently during her time at Hogwarts. Furthermore, Vespira is also quick with her mind, easily thinking up witty retorts, as well as responses to the questions asked in her classes. She has quite a bit of intelligence to her, as well as a bit more than a touch of slyness to her. Some of these points, however, may go unnoticed at times by people such as her mother. Vespira, finally, has a touch of charisma to her, which is useful in charming people and worming her way out of sticky situations. This also goes along with smoothing things over when she depicts a bit of her short temper around other people.
"And power-hungry Slytherin loved those of great ambition."
appearance
Vespira is a beautiful, dark young teenage woman. She looks more fitting to be seen in gowns than in a gym, however. That description fits her quite thoroughly, as she has a lean frame that makes her appear as if she only has little muscle to her. However, this is not the case and Vespira can rather hold her own in a fight if the need arises, having quite a bit of hidden muscle to her. This teenage girl can appear, at times to be like a delicate flower when she is seen wearing gowns. This image of her is aided with the fact that she has pale skin without any scars, which aids in depicting her delicate appearance. In addition, Vespira also stands at relatively five feet, seven inches tall with a weight that is fitting to her stature. Beginning in the description of her face, which appears to have what seems to be a heart shape to it. She has dark eyebrows, which match her dark brown hair, stretching over and highlighting her eyes. Next comes her eyes, which are a hypnotizing dark blue in color. Finally, perched on top of Vespira's head she has a shock of dark brown hair. Vespira's hair has quite a bit of curl to it and is also relatively thick, her hair lies just around shoulder length. It is typically relatively easily maintained by Vespira. However, at times she may pull it back into a pony tail in order to keep it out of her way and to stop it from annoying her.Vespira also has a bit of a typical style that her fellow students are more often than not going to spot her wearing when she isn't in her Hogwarts uniform. She usually wears clothes that are quite a bit more expensive, due to the fact that her mother wouldn't have her wearing nothing but the best. Most of her clothes could be considered semi-formal, and fitting for some formal events. They are typically any of a wide spread choice of colors, as long as she likes it. At times, though rarely, Vespira can be found wearing jeans and a plain t-shirt, however this is mostly not in the company of her mother. In her common everyday appearance Vespira can be found wearing a relatively light amount of make up. This is to make the make up that she wears on a daily basis almost natural. Finally, Vespira has both of her ears pierced in her ear lobes, though only once in each ear.
"Slytherin took only pure-blood wizards of great cunning just like him."
history
Vespira Celine Flint was born to Marcus and Eliana Flint on December 8th of the year 1961. As was tradition in most pure blood families through out this period and beyond Vespira was granted a celestial name. Her first name, Vespira, has the meaning "Eveningstar." Furthermore, her middle name, Celine, has the meaning "Hammer or of the heavens." They are both Latin in origin, as well. Vespira was a healthy child, though quite loud and a bit overwhelming to her parents, her being only their second born though bettered the situation at least a little bit. In her toddler years and younger Vespira was always fussing over something and crying it seemed. She was never content really unless she was left alone and allowed to roam (or toddle / crawl) around the family's house. This teenage girl grew up shadowed, even in her youngest years by the views of her parents, and the fact that they supported Lord Voldemort. At the time, however, being quite young herself, she didn't think anything of it. She had only known her own expectations and the things that she should view, as her family did. This did, however, did change slightly as Vespira grew older and began to understand the circumstances more thoroughly.Even since her days as a newborn Vespira had also been spoiled by her mother, always given the very best. The young girl had been the daughter that she had wanted. Therefore, Vespira's toddler and newborn years were spent wearing the dresses that her mother would make her wear. This, however, did change when Vespira's younger sister was born, giving her mother someone else to smother with attention. Another key point of this, however was that around the age of four years old Vespira had begun changing the dresses into more comfortable clothing. This was, of course, much to the horror of her mother, who had though that her lovely little girl had loved the dresses as much as she had herself. As Vespira grew older she began to hide her discontent with the clothes that she would be forced into, though changing out of them after the function her family had been attending that night. However, Vespira's small slice of freedom came when her acceptance letter to Hogwarts came.
Her letter hadn't been much of a surprise to her family. She had been demonstrating the fact that she was a witch from such a young age. Plus, her family simply wouldn't have a squib within their lines, especially not her mother's darling daughter. Her mother had been the one to take her shopping for her school supplies, much to her annoyance. Vespira was dragged about by her mother, purchasing her robes from the best shop in Diagon Alley, and all of her supplies were the best, of course. The one thing that looked up during the trip in Vespira's eyes was the fact that she was allowed to get both a cat and an owl. This was due to the fact that her mother had insisted that Vespira needed an owl to keep her mother in the loop. Of course, Vespira was only allowed the two pets due to her constant pleading to her mother, who had relented to the young girl rather quickly. This resulted in Vespira recieving a dilute calico cat, whom she named Astra, and a male tawny owl, who received the name Marcus. The rest of the year, after her trip to Diagon Alley was spent in eager anticipation of the upcoming school year. During this period of time Vespira spent almost every second reading her textbooks for the year, as well as packing and planning what she would need for the year. This was, of course, with a bit of her mother and brother's help (he had begun attending Hogwarts the year before). The impending separation from her parents also brought reminders of how to be a "good little pure blood girl." Though also reminders to her older brother to watch out for her, much to her annoyance.
On the first of September Vespira was accompanied to the Hogwarts Express by her mother, father, little sister, and older brother, who would be seen off with her. The goodbyes were tearful, at least, in her mother's part, her father only gave her and her brother a hug, stern nod and a reminder to do them proud. Vespira's train ride was uneventful, and she, like the rest of the first years had waited nervously for the sorting to begin in the hallway. Much to Vespira's rather evident relief, she was sorted directly into Slytherin, only after a few seconds of deliberation. She would be in the same house as her brother, which was quite a relief in herself. The years after her first, which was crowded with excitement and the newness of the experience passed rather uneventfully for the young girl. However, things changed for her in about her third year, when she was grouped for a class project with "mudbloods." Her parents had been furious when they had heard but had been able to do nothing about the situation. Vespira, though understanding her parent's views didn't mind it as much as her parents might have thought they should have. She had, in fact obtained a slight friendship with them when she discovered they were not, in fact, as bad as they had been made out to be. Thus began her change of views.
Over the next few years Vespira grew quite a bit more diversified in her beliefs, though she didn't let her parents believe this. At this point in time Vespira is teetering on being against her own parent's beliefs, or at least considering such ideas. The teenage girl has also passed her O.W.Ls with flying colors, and continues to "make her parents proud" with her grades at Hogwarts. Vespira has also made a few friends, both inside and outside of her own house and blood status. She now nervously awaits the N.E.W.Ts exams coming in the next school year, as well as the time that she will tell her parents that her beliefs have drastically changed.

a post of maddy's
One might think that studying late on a Saturday night was something to just be considered outrageous. Who in their right mind would be studying on a Saturday? Yeah, that was something that Maddy questioned regularly. Spending time in the library on a Saturday night was not her idea of having fun, either. plus, she couldn't be sure how many Slytherins would be lurking about the hallways at this hour. Directly defying her parents (on accident) by getting target by a simpering, stuck up, out to get the world Slytherin would not help. No matter how unintentional that it might end up being. Staying just a little bit trapped in the library peering at the light fading from the sky from over the edge of her book didn't seem like such a bright idea anymore. She should really have thought things true just a bit more.
Who needed to attempt a bit of relaxation in the library? In fact, now that she thought of it, who would even really want to? Not that Maddy had anything against the library. Really, she didn't, in fact, she liked it quite well. It was just that the library was associated with studying and school work, which a plentiful sum of her fellow students didn't even consider finishing on a Saturday. Especially not a Saturday, for that matter.
The idea to come down to the library had seemed like a good one at first. She had needed to escape the complete and utter chaos of the Gryffindor common room in order to work on her homework. Maddy hadn't thought twice about walking through the hallways right after dinner, when the light had been plentiful and had suppressed the shadows to the space behind the suits of armor. Now, however, the darkness had seemed to take over, sweeping over the corridors and making it almost appear haunted. Maddy didn't even have to being inhabiting those corridors to know that. She had experienced the overwhelming, suffocating fear of the dark corridors as a first year. Even as a seventh year, that wasn't something that she wanted to experience. Especially with the currents circumstances of the wizarding world (and Hogwarts).
It was funny how if you just swept a bit of darkness over things they suddenly became all the more frightening. Walking around during the day, it as hard to believe the comforting corridors could be so dark and ominous.
Maddy sighed softly as she lifted her eyes from her book, peering once again out the nearby window. She should be heading back soon, there was only so much time left before lights out. So much time before everything turned black. Maddy simply shook her head and rearranged herself to be comfortable on the small little love seat. She hadn't been all that surprised in discovering it. After all, the first time that she had encountered this little alcove was in her second year. Therefore this whole situation had been more like rediscovering one of her favorite little hiding spots from when she was younger. She had missed it hear, the comforts of the library, just a little bit more isolated than sitting in the middle of the library. Doing homework required having a lot less attention on her. It was surprising how easily distracted she could get.
Maddy lowered her eyes back to her book to continue reading. It was a wizarding novel, and quite interesting at that. Her mother had suggested it to her, and she had finally agreed to give it a try. At the moment she had all of the time in the world to read, too. She had finally finished her homework earlier, so she had the rest of the weekend to enjoy the novel. that was, unless one of her friends dragged her off to do something they deemed much more exciting. Of course, Maddy would most likely end up agreeing with her friends. That was how it usually worked, the outgoing Madeleine McKinnon, always happily (at least, sometimes) dragged away from her books.
Once more, however, Maddy was dragged from her book, which she had become quite absorbed in, once again, over the past few moments. She could hear the footsteps that seemed to be approaching, a mild concern entering her mind. She was just a bit anxious to see whoever it would be, her earlier concerns arising just a little bit. Maddy arose from her lounged position, sitting up and placing her book beside her. Maddy's bracelet's jangled slightly together as she drew her wand, partially, keeping it in easy reach as she stood. "Who's there?" She queried, her voice strong and giving no hint to her concerns. Madeleine McKinnon was a force to be reckoned with. there was no way a few footsteps were going to frighten her.
