shrieking shack,
Falsely rumoured to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favourite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. The shack cannot be broken into from the outside; it must be entered instead through a secret passageway, the mouth of which lies under the Whomping Willow. Though not many students actually know this.

madam pudifoots,
A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly, located just off the High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.

hog's head inn,
A worn-out wooden sign hangs over the door, advertising with a wild boar's severed head leaking blood onto the white cloth around it. It's known for its cheapness, it attracts an interesting clientele.
