full name: Aislinn "Ash" Quinn Marcel
age: 16
year: 6th
birthday: 1961
blood line: Muggleborn
occupation: Student
former / house: Gryffindor
First thing you notice about Aislinn is her shocking blue eyes. They are framed by dark lashes that aren't the "dream length" long, but they are not short either. Her cheek bones are not any shocking shapes or odd angles, just soft and fit her face nicely. Her nose is not petite, but it definitely isn't large either. It isn't a cute little button nose like she wish it would be, but she thinks its a nice shape. At least it isn't curved like the Muggles witch nose. She has a full set of lips, though on her upper lip, the right peak is slightly higher than the left. Something no one else notices except her of course. Her hair is long, and she has a lot of it. She calls it her lioness mane, considering how much she has. Plus, being a Gryffindor she gets quite a kick out of it. Its a sandy brown color, though not quite blonde either. It's darker at the roots but not because she dyed it. It just naturally comes out dark and grows lighter over time.
Her body is athletic and she doesn't quite have an "Hourglass" figure. But she does have some curves. She has legs for sure, and by that i mean healthy, running, in shape legs. Her thighs touch in the middle, something that never really bothered her. She liked it about herself. She just thought it made her a bit different than all the stick thin girls that were running around. She stands at five foot four inches, average height for a girl. She always joked that she wanted to be super tall so that way she could look down on all the girls that made fun of her. She weighs about 120 lbs, which isn't too skinny for her height. And definitely not over weight as well. Her metabolism is still pretty high, so she pretty much can eat what she wants. At least for now. Though her mom and dad still look good for being in their mid 40's now. So she was hoping she would take after them as well. She does have two birth marks, one is on the back of her right thigh, and it looks like a tan spot the size of a quarter. And the other is right below her right breast, again a tan speckled area the size of a half dollar coin.
Outside of having to wear her school robes, her personal style tends to be pretty casual. She likes her jeans and shorts, casual t-shirts and tanks. Occasionally she gets in a mood to wear a dress, But she usually winds up changing half way through the day to sweat pants and a tee. Her hair is always different. Some days she wants it up, other days in a braid, and then she wants it down and free to do its own thing. She tends to hide behind it when she is upset or embarrassed, letting it fall in front of her face. Her make up, is one of three things normally. Either very natural, with just a swipe of mascara on; intense eyes (cat eye, smokey eye, etc); or bold lips. But never bold eyes and lips at the same time. She felt it was too overpowering for her face when she did both and she would wind up looking like an under-dressed clown.
Personality/History:
Want to talk about being a true Gryffindor at heart? It is definitely this girl. They are fighters, brave and full of courage. And that was definitely this girl. She was the youngest of 3 brothers, so they taught her to be tough. And that was one thing this girl was. She was brave enough to stand up for herself when her brothers tried to take her toys from her, yelling at them and having the courage to not back down when they threatened her either. Of course they wouldn't hurt her but 3 older boys looking down at you can kind of be intimidating. They taught her that crying was not something anyone wanted to deal with. So when she would start to cry, she would get a "Suck it up!", which she did. But that didn't harden her little heart. Even though her brothers were tough on her, they would sometimes cave and give in to the little blue eyes that would look up at heart. They could never find it in themselves to break her spirits.
So occasionally, their parents would come outside to find the boys playing house with her, or even dolls. They truly loved her with all their hearts. As she grew older, weird things started happening around the house, especially when the boys would make their little sister really upset or angry. When those blue eyes would start to fill with tears, things would fall off of counters, chairs would move. Just odd things that no one could place. At first, they thought the house they lived in was haunted. They had the house blessed and even went as far as having a "psychic" come to the house to see if they could communicate with the ghosts and ask them to leave. Little did her parents and brothers know, the psychic was actually a witch. Who picked up on the little girl having powers, and she knew for sure the girl was a muggleborn when she talked to Aislinn on her own. The witch smiled and knew that it would be explained one day to the family.
Of course when that day came, the day she received her Hogwarts letter, it was very hard for them to swallow. Especially her older brothers. What were they to think, their little sister was a witch? Someone who would run around with a wand, casting spells and making potions at this weird school named Hogwarts? Talk about receiving a teasing from her brothers. "You are going to grow a big nose! With a wart on the end of it as well!" one would say. "Yeah! And your skin will start to turn green and your hair oily and black!" the next one would chime in. She went crying to her parents, and even though they didn't know, they told her that wasn't true. They both kissed her cheek before telling her to go cast a spell on the boys. She had a wicked grin take over her face and she jumped up. She ran full speed out of the room, yelling at the boys and laughing, who were scrambling to get away from her while laughing as well.
When it came time to buy her supplies for school, which they found the list quite odd, they left the boys at home with their Aunt. Getting to Diagon Alley was quite a story on its on, but when they finally arrived, the simply followed the crowd. They went from shop to shop, slowly finding her supplies. She collected her wand first, which wound up being a 11.5 inch red wood with phoenix feather as the core. She collected her books and then she got an owl, which was one of the strangest pets that a school could recommend. It was a medium sized owl, who was all black, with only one white spot right behind his head and had large, gold eyes. She named the dark owl Milo. The process took all day, but eventually the day came to an end they got to try and pack everything back into their muggle car and bring them home until the train for Hogwarts left.
Eventually the day came and they sent their youngest and only daughter off to school. She wasn't quite sure what to do, so she picked an empty cart and settled herself in. She was playing with Milo when he entered her cart. Henry. At the time, he was a second year and he was in the house Hufflepuff. He was a sweet kid and talked to Aislinn the whole ride there. He even told her about the new Muggleborn and Halfblood rules. She thought it was horrible, especially considering she was a muggleborn. After arriving at the school, she was sorted into Gryffindor, which was slightly sad on her part only because she wouldn't be with the nice boy she had met earlier on the train. But after a few weeks, it was clear that no one had claimed her and she was started to get worried that she would be handed off to someone who would do horrendous things to her. She went to Henry and vented her worries.
Since he was a pureblood, he told her that he would claim her as his muggleborn. And he was one of the nicest "owner" anyone could have ever wished for. He let her have her freedom and they became very close friends. Nothing more. He looked at her like a little sister and he always watched over her during their years at Hogwarts. She exceeded in Potions, but needed help in Charms, which Henry thrived in. They were great friends. And they spent a lot of time together, outside of their normal friends or with them as well. Though the year between her fifth and sixth year was the worst. During the summer, she received a letter from Henry's best friend. Henry and his family was killed. They weren't sure who exactly did it, but they believed it was someone or ones that hated the fact that Henry and his family were "blood traitors".
She remembered reading the letter, in her kitchen. She was in the middle of getting a plate for the hamburgers her father was cooking on the grill when she received it. She stood frozen, reading the same line over and over again. "Henry was killed." She couldn't stop until her oldest brother, Asher, opened the door and called her name. She looked up and the tears just poured from her eyes. Her best friend. Gone. Forever. She wouldn't get to see him graduate Hogwarts, or his next Quidditch game. She would never hear his laughter. She fell to her knees and wept. She cried for days, and she wasn't quite sure how she was going to face her friends when she went back to school. But she carried on. She went back, broken, but she went back. She never let it out though. "Crying is for babies" as her brothers used to tease her. So, she would just have to carry on. And hope that no one would notice that she now didn't have a master.
