Anthony had trouble sleeping that night as he tossed and turned. The seventh year dormitory was quiet tonight. No one snoring or mumbling in their sleep. He supposed it was because of the unnatural quietness. It was getting on his nerves truth be told and he was a bit paranoid. Paranoid that something might come out of the shadows and attack him. Either that or one of his housemates would be the one attacking him. Enough! A voice growled in the back of his mind. Quit thinking about things like this you are nothing more than an idiot! The black haired boy snorted a bit shaking his head. If his father would hear his thoughts right now….well there was no telling what James would end up doing to him. The man was abusive enough. Always putting him down and telling him what to do and everything else. A small sigh escaped from his lips as he turned to face the wall. His thoughts went from his father to Aralynn. He felt a hand squeeze his heart. He hadn’t seen the black haired beauty lately and frankly he was worried. Worried that he might have done or said something wrong. Alright, that’s it, he told himself as he tossed his blankets aside.[/size]
He wasn’t going to sit around and waiting for something to happen. Especially not in the dark when his mind liked to play tricks on him. Shadows growing larger. Shadows seemed to be jumping out from the corners. He ran a hand through his hair as he got dressed in the dark. A pair of trousers and a dark green shirt. His fingers made contact with the wood of his wand and he sighed in relief. He tossed his silver and green cloak over him and quietly made his way out of the dorms, closing the door gently behind him with a gentle snap. The common room was eerily quiet. Being underneath the lake the glow made it even more eerily. Anthony rolled his eyes at himself, quit being an idiot. He pulled the cloak tighter against him as he walked out of the common room. It was past curfew. Only perfects and the two Heads were out as well as the teachers. The professors, he noticed, were gathered in groups and talking. His ears pricked up as he heard the smallest of whispers protesting against the new laws. For a moment he fingered the wand in his pocket. What he wouldn’t like to give those teachers a piece of his mind. He struggled with himself a bit before he carried on in the shadows.
The seventh year idly wondered what would have happened if he cursed the teachers. He was in charge now. The purebloods all were. He was also not foolish to curse them as he wanted good grades. Anthony shook his head at himself. He was being so out of it tonight. For that he could blame his mind. The thoughts and worry that he always held seemed to be getting out of hand. Oh Merlin this was not going to be good at all, he thought mournfully. He stopped for a minute to glance around, biting down on the inside of his cheeks. Where to go next? He could take a night time stroll out into the forest or the astronomy. His stomach rumbled a bit and that seemed to make the decision for him. The kitchens. What better way, or excuse, to have a snack at this hour? A small smirk appeared on his lips as he continued on his way, changing directions. His black eyes glittered with thoughts, an amused look on his face. Anthony was wide awake at this hour. He knew he was going to pay for it in the morning that was for sure. He would probably end up sleeping in class but the Potions professor would probably kick him into paying attention.
Oh the joys of having Potions first thing in the morning, he thought with a small scowl on his face. If he had Transfiguration he wouldn’t mind sleeping in. That class was boring anyways he wondered why he would even need it! Oh, of course. Another thought came to his mind as he scowled heavily again. That’s right. He was going to be in the Ministry. A Hit Wizard. He rolled his eyes shaking his head. The stupid class requirements. He reached out, finding himself at the portrait of the kitchens. He tickled the pear. It giggled as it squirmed, turning into a doorknob. He smirked as he pulled it open and walked in closing it behind him. He glanced around. At first glance it seemed pretty empty with a house elf or two scuttling out. “Oh Mr.!” A small squeak made him look down as his eyes harden. “What would Mr. like?” He would like to see you writhing on the floor in pain, Anthony thought but kept it to himself. He paused for a minute. “Maybe some hash browns with eggs and tea?” the elf nodded as she scuttled off. “Right away!” Anthony walked over to one of the tables. He saw someone sitting and he smirked walking right behind her. “Keegan it’s a pleasure finding you here.” He sat down next to her. “Couldn’t sleep either?”
