Emilia had crawled out of her bed earlier this morning. literally. She wasn't much of a morning person but then again... who was? not anyone she knew of that she could think of at the moment. But she normally had the problem of staying up way too late to begin with. She was a night person that nothing could really change that. She always has been and chances are she always will be. Not that she didn't mind it of course... but sometimes it would be better if she was a morning person. not everyone can get what they want in life and that is just tough luck. you get what you earn. At times it's better to be a night person, mostly during the summer with all the parties that tend to go on at night. Then again... that only matters if you're actually invited to those which Emilia normally isn't... because she isn't as social-able as she wishes she was. It sucked at times but it was life and she simply just got over the fact and didn't mind it after awhile.
Wearing her house uniform, she strolled from class to class learning about things that didn't really catch her interest. which always made her sleepy when she was disinterested in things. That was always a down side to her. Slowly drifting into sleep but resisting it for fear of being yelled at. She never took being yelled at lightly, she was really sensitive when it came to things like that. sometimes if she was being yelled at a lot and rather harshly, tears would start to form. But that happened to a number of girls so thankfully she wasn't alone on that. Resisting the urge to sleep was actually really hard for her. which is why she hated the feeling. Or when one of you're body parts falls sleep and when you move it, it feels like pins are it in. She hates that as well. It was never high on her list of things she actually liked.
Last class ended, Emilia pushed her chair out and went to stand but nearly fell to the ground... her left foot had fallen asleep. She waited a moment before the pain was semi tolerable and started out of the classroom. 'I should get an early start on homework eat least today' she thought to herself as she walked down the hall. She figured the best place to do homework would be the library seeing as she always got distracted in the Gryffindor common room. Once her foot was fully awake, she stopped her silly looking limp she hadn't even noticed she was doing and strolled down a few more halls and went up a staircase. She continued down one more hall way before actually making it to the library. a place she really didn't want to be but knew she had to do what needed to be done...
Emilia always has hated the library because it was the only place she actually had the chance to concentrate. She made her way to an empty table and placed her books down. She pulled the chair out, dreading that she actually came here and sat down. Slowly she took out her books and some paper. Muggle Studies... she was terrible at this subject. She opened the book and turned to page 74. She took out a writing utensil before staring at the paper. Letting out a sigh, she raised her left hand, placed her elbow on the other side of the book and rested her head in that hand. her left hand slightly sliding in her hair as she stared down at her book trying to figure out what she was even suppose to do with this. She hadn't been listening at all today, mainly resting the urge to sleep and day dreaming. but she normally day dreams during the school hours all the time.
Her eyes grew heavier and heavier as she looked at her muggle studies book before they actually closed for a moment. Her head lost balance and she face planted right in to her book. She instantly shot up which caused her chair to lean back a little too far and caused her to fall backwards. "I knew i shouldn't had gotten out of bed this morning..." she whined to herself before getting up and feeling like every one was staring at her as she fixed the chair and sat bad down only to end up staring aimlessly at the book again....

Studying was not something that James usually liked to do. At all. Exams did not have to be taken too seriously. He was more of a, k sera, sera, whatever will be will be kind of guy. He'd roll into an exam knowing that he would be able to at least have a reasonable stab at all of the questions because he was a learner, he did take things in, in class quite easily. But once the professor had done his explaining and James had understood he couldn't be bothered to do the class work or the homework or to study for the exam. What was the point when he knew enough? And that attitude had worked alright for him so far. This year however there had been a change within the Gryffindor. He had gone from immature teenager to level headed young man. He had also been given the role of head boy and James was determined to take things seriously this year. The recent wizarding war had put things into perspective and he was going to take his duties seriously and look after those that needed help.
And also he was going to study harder. The curriculum at Hogwarts had changed dramatically over the summer in most of the subjects. The classes now had a focus on the dark arts and leaned heavily in proving how favourable they could be in order to try and brainwash the younger students. James was having none of it. He did not want to know how to cause serious bodily and mental harm with a wand and neither did he want to practice it. He had vowed to study the curriculum as Dumbledore would have intended it. To learn how to beat the death eaters, to learn how to become an auror and defend himself. There was no way he was ever going to bow down to the death eaters. Not in a million years. If he died for it then so be it. He had decided that he was okay with that a long time ago. Well, not okay, he was downright terrified but it was the option he would much rather take.
And so, for the first time in a long time, the library was James' destination. It was strange, walking through the aisles for books when he usually only ever came in here to look for Remus or Lily. Mostly he avoided the place. He wasn’t a big fan of libraries. Too quiet, too dull. He much preferred the loud, boisterous, dirty, full on nature of the quidditch pitch to this awful resonating silence. A silence that was disturbed by a loud bang. It sounded to James like a chair falling over (the number of times he had done that during lessons because he had a habit of balancing his chair on its hind legs). He jumped and headed curiously towards the sound to find a girl dusting herself off and sitting herself back down. He could only see the back of her head so he had no clue who it was except he saw the red of Gryffindor on her robes and so he called out, ”Are you alright?”
James did not have a voice that was accustomed to being used in the quiet Library setting and so it seemed to reverberate loudly around the place. He felt only slightly embarrassed but he soon wished he hadn’t said anything when the girl turned around and he saw who it was. His foot hovered in the air, frozen in taking a step towards her. Frozen and wondering what to do because he actually wasn’t sure he wanted to stop around and chat with her. He’d been avoiding talking to her so far into term as well so this could turn out to be rather awkward for at least one of them. He put his foot down, and turned around, deciding that actually he didn’t want to stick around.
